Legalize Death Penalty

The death penalty is something many misinterpret. As many probably are not aware, the death penalty has recently been abolished in 2013. Some claim that it is inhumane and the government has no right to take anyones life no matter how severe the crime is. However, that is just an opinion, not a fact. The graph to the left is the executions by year in the whole United States. Maryland has only had 5 executions since 1976. Clearly, the government does not take advantage of the power it has.
